Hey everyone,

I just took advantage of the Air NZ sale and purchased premium economy tickets from Melbourne to LA via Auckland (I always flyQantas on this route but it was a bloody good price and $1800 cheaper than Qantas's premium economy).

Because there is no premium economy from Melbourne to Auckland, I am fare category "B" which I think is full economy.
The way I see it I should earn:
- Melbourne --> Auckland return (fare B) - 40 status credits each way
- Auckalnd --> LA (Prem economy) - 120 status credits each way
making a total of 320 status credits.

Does that seem correct? (I'm keen to find out as I'm currently Velocity Gold thanks to status matching, and have been extremely impressed this year with Virgin's customer service so I'm quite keen to try and maintain Gold if possible)

Also, if anyone has tried the Air NZ "space seat" I'd love a review.

Thanks in advance.

That's absolutely correct - you'll earn a total of 320 status credits and 22848 Velocity points, assuming my math is correct.
