I have Gold status in Skywards, and CX diamond status,
we decided to use Etihad Airlines on a J trip from Shanghai to London and after booking I have transferred points into my Etihad Guest account so that I could upgrade to F class,
I would rather do this with status as my upgrade would have better chances, the other reason is that I got demoted on Singapore airlines down to Silver, and a Gold in Etihad more status on Star alliance.
What would be the best way to go about this ? should I email them and ask for a status match, and send through my emirates statements, along with my recent booking details on their airline. thanks would appreciate any help

The promo is over but you could try anyway, $ value bookings in the future on Etihad along with you CX and EK activity statements to demonstrate potential value.

A lot of people that applied for the status match the day it came out, still haven't even heard anything 3 months later...they have poor communication...I don't like your chances

thanks for your replies, I read on a site somewhere that there were problems with communication also with the offer, I already have a J class ticket and I need to buy another ticket for a flight a few weeks later, maybe holding a few tickets might increase my chances.
I did send an email outlining my current statuses without attachments, but I have had no reply, I think I might send another email with statements attached this time.
