Did I miss something, and if I have please forgive me, but I was status matched and didn't receive a new Gold card.

So I thought that might happen after my first flight, but still no new card.

Is this the same for those others that were status matched last year?

Not complaining, just wondering:confused:

Thanks in advance.

You should have received a new card, if you haven’t I’d call them up and ask for a replacement to be sent.

Have a look at your account online, if it says Gold, then check your registered address, is it correct?

Mine took about 6 weeks to arrive - but as most status matches were happening last year I take it that it has been longer than that?

So a quick question if I may. As a QF gold who is tiring of QF and their antics, how does one go about being status matched? The fact that I have so much invested in gold at QF is the one thing that stops me changing!

The DJ match was a limited time offer that expired.
I suspect it may come back at relaunch, or maybe just for corporates who are transferring accounts.

Currently there are two ways of getting upgraded to Velocity Gold without needing the usual status points:

1) Fly two return business class fares from Sydney to Perth on the A330 before a certain date (please check the DJ website for this info - don't want to write something here if it's incorrect)

2) Register for business/corporate travel (Virgin Blue Accelerate program) and receive complimentary gold upgrades for two nominated Velocity members (which is what I did - quite a nice perk)... You do need an ABN though, however you also get a special username and password for their website that allows you to book itineraries that normal "guests" can't book (ie. extended open jaw etc etc) - basically you get access to the travel agent portal, even if you don't have an IATA number... and after spending a certain amount every year you start to get discounts with the airline! :D Anyway, check out Virgin Blue Accelerate Programe | Virgin Blue

Hope this may be of some help! :)

Yeah i got it all sorted via an email, I had seemingly been sent the Card and Tags but never received them. All good now. I have to try manipulating my times so I can make use of it now.

Is there any special requirements other than an ABN? As I just started my own business.
