Is that a work booking BNE-PER direct?

The easiest way to get the 50 SCs would be to route something like BNE-MEL/ADL-PER in either direction and that should get over the line.

Have you thought about changing your flight next week from what I presume is a direct flight to a non direct flight? You might be able to get such a routing for the same price, in the case of going via MEL its an extra 60 SC.

Yes it is status point, i can do that policy doesn't allow it, need to do something else after i get back from perth. Great suggestion though

Business Anyseat Award BNE-SYD 40SC
Red e-deal return 10SC

Immediately springs to mind.

Can sub any other business route that has cheap red e-deals and JASAs (eg. BNE-TSV)

I did a SC run years ago from Brisbane to first get gold - it was BNE - MEL - ADL // ADL - SYD - BNE. Booked as one return flight, red e-deal. Will get you 50 SC exactly. The whole trip was done in daylight and had a nice afternoon in Adelaide. Good tour of the QPs if you are not well travelled.

This would be my suggestion. however, a word of warning and also not of warning. In the last 12 months or so, Qantas removed the ability to fly BNE-ADL via MEL or SYD for the same cost. However, I was looking at this route the other day, while the sale was still on, and the indirect flights were the same cost as the direct flights, during august. So maybe they have reversed the decision to make the indirect more expensive.

BTW $119 BNE-xMEL-ADL = just under $5/SC.

great suggestion guys, can't seem to find the BNE MEL ADL for $119, what dates did you see that price for?

Hi Guys

Just checked my summary and now only need 20 points, was credited 30 for a jetstar flight i took about 2 months ago, is red e deal to sydney the best way?

Dan

If you only need 20SCs then BNE-SYD return, BNE-ROK return, BNE-MKY return would all be acceptable.

Which is the cheapest? Take that one....

Cheapest return rededeal will do the trick, they might be ROK or NTL.

That was for the sale that ended yesterday. Sorry, $119 might have been a bit misleading as it was also for august.

BNE-ROK is probably your best bet. MKY tends to be quite exxy due to the mines booking it out. Lots of flights and $127 each way. Go spend a day on the beach at Yeppoon :)

I think you'll find BNE - NTL on Jetstar the cheapest. Depends on your availability, but you can get fares as low as $49 (+$25 to earn QF points).

I'm travelling to BNE tomorrow and the flight cost me $69 (+$25) and I only booked it yesterday.

Rok has a lounge chair or two with 6 free beers, Ntl doesn't have a lounge but has good scenery if you like Military birds...

The bar at the departure gate has a range of hunter valley wines and floor to ceiling windows of the runway which is a few hundred metres away. During a working day you'll have a nice show from the RAAF F18s.

I'd take that over a few free coughpy cans of xx_X gold whilst standing.
