So my status finally ticked over to Platinum last Wedensday (even though should have happened in Jan, as am still waiting on some missing DSCs).

I can see WP status in the app, on the webpage and I got the congrats email.

When I checked into my flight this morning, both my digital and paper boarding passes only said Gold. As there is no First lounge in NOU I didnt miss out on a benefit and I did receive 100% more points. BUT one of the benefits of WP is supposed to be better seat selection however, when I go into any of my future bookings in the seat section it tells me Im only Gold.

For example:

Ive tried logging out and back in, clearing cookies to no avail. Installing/Uninstalling app.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do I get it rectified?

I have a lot f up coming bookings and dont want to have to argue with loung dragaon and chase missing points and not be able to self select decent seats.

I certainly had issues mid-trip when my status went from silver to gold. I tried to access EK lounge in Dubai and was denied as the system showed I was silver, even though I had gold card on my app - they did let me in eventually.

IIRC it might be an option to delete the current status and then re-enter? I know it works that way with some partner airlines. Maybe try a ‘manage booking’ by say going in to Royal Jordanian or Finnair? Delete, re-add, and see what happens?

Very interesting, will keep an eye on this as I’m expecting my status to change in the middle of a future trip.

I don't think QF does amend status in future bookings in your QFF MMB.
But when you check in for the future flight, it should then show your status.
As for it showing SG now on BP, maybe it takes time for parts of the(ir) system to catch up.

This seems strange. When I've progressed from NB > PS > SG > WP my forward bookings updated pretty much immediately. I was able to select from the better seating zones, had an increased baggage allowance etc.

I was upgraded from SG > WP mid-flight on a multi sector journey and the already issued digital boarding pass for my next flight also updated from SG > WP pretty much right away as well.

If it’s making it as far as a printed boarding pass with your old status I’d be calling up about it.

Yes I think I will need to do so, as the printed one still said SG.

Im flying to tassie in just under a fortnight, so if it hasnt righted itself by then I will call up until I get HBA and have them investigate. I assume the SYD Dom BUsiness Lounge will accept my digital Platinum Card and there is only a QP in LST so I can wait a few days to see if its just some background job that hasnt run yet.

I dont recall any issue with future bookings when I went from Silver to Gold but that was years ago.

Can you unplug your FF number in the booking then add it again? We travel the date of our anniversary but as all bookings were made under existing (and extended) status then hopefully we avoid this.

How do I do this? All future flights were booked directly with QF (except a few directly with AA that dont show up in QFF anyway).

Can you get to it by amending Passenger details? I've done that with other airlines.

As mentioned upthread… you could try going to Finnair or Royal Jordanian, manage booking, delete the current FF number, refresh (exit the site completely), then go and add it again.

Tried to remove FF# via FInnair and it wont save - it says "something went wrong"

I remember having problem on BA and AY doing this… it didn’t want to accept ‘no’ FF number. It seemed to take a while to ‘refresh’ but somehow i managed to get it done, eventually.

If it works, it might be a case of having to call QF to delete/add for your other bookings :(

Ah. These days that's very risky - wouldn't want to mention the word 'delete'.

Agree, when Im next at the airport, I will ask the lounge dragons why my BP shows Gold when I am Platinum and see if they know how to fix on that low risk domestic flight. If they can sort that perhaps they can also fix my remaining bookings.

I have a OWA that i dont want to risk anything going wrong on, and which is my next international so first chance to use the First Lounge.

Interestingly i received the correct Platinum points for yesterdays flight despite the inaccurate BP.

Agreed, esp with the QF overseas call center (outsourced) who might misconstrue the meaning of the words you are using, it might come back to bite you/your bookings even worst.
Personally, with their standards of call centers, I would not try to do anything too complicated, QF/QFF wise.

Here's how I would try it. Go to rj.com/finnair etc, change the FF# to anything else. eg just say it's an AA FF# or MH or something in the booking.. wait for that to be accepted.. then change it back (don't even change the number, change the program name). that should then refresh the FF# in the PNR. (do, of course, keep a note of the PNR!)

Unfortunately that gives the same error as when try to remove FF #

Going to have to deal with Qantas, will try at the lounge before trying to call.

As I haven't received my Platinum pack yet can someone please share the platinum customer service number?
