Looks like you applied before this specific promo, however the terms may be the same.

Amplify Signature | St.George

*Bonus points promotion: The respective bonus points promotions are available when you apply and are approved for a Amplify Signature credit card between 21st January and 6th March 2019, and spend the minimum amount of $4,000 on eligible purchases on the card within 90 days from card approval. Eligible purchases do not include BPAY or BPAY equivalent transactions, fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, refunds, balance transfers debited from the card account, government fees and ATO payments. Existing customers who currently hold a Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer. The bonus points will be credited to your points balance within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria is met.

Applied Sunday night, conditionally approved half an hour later, application approved today, card on its way.

Approval date in my experience.

If you need more time I'd be contacting them immediately and getting them to put in writing an extension was needed because of their delays.

I have preliminary approval but not final approval yet, shows as pre-approved in online account info.

If they have run out of cards and do give final approval say tomorrow, but don't post out the physical and card until weeks/months later then I will be arguing that the spend clock does not start ticking until I have a physical card, bit difficult to meet the spend requirement without a physical card.

The St George call centre said that my account has an IT glitch that they need to escalate so I'm building the groundwork for a fee waiver for this very slow approval process,

I hope St George don't treat all their new customers like this.....

Got a "We received your application and will be in touch with you within 2 business days" when i applied... interesting. Hopefully they just approve in the background when they get to it.

Anyone know if gift vouchers count towards the minimum spend?
Unclear what you mean by the generic term 'gift vouchers'. But if you mean something like a Woolworths WISH card then the answer is yes.

Thanks so much for this! I thought it was likely to count, am hoping to make the spend and get these points ASAP!

Do you think a visa payment payed immigration would count as a government fee?

P.s just found this forum todag,ts great,!! havent managed to find anything on this specific question but im sorry if im repeating it.

Sorry, should have been more clear. But yes, for example buying a Woolworths WISH card through cashrewards.com.au
Good to know in case I'm a little under the minimum spend. Thanks.

I haven't specifically tried this one, but I'm 99% sure it will count as a normal legit purchase for the awarding of points.

I got negged due to only being suitable for $6000 limit with them. I have an AMEX with $15k limit that i was thinking about cancelling - any idea what sort of impact this would have? Thanks

IME Amex are the most generous with limits, but if you did declare the $15k amex limit in your application, I would imagine it would have limited your ability to get further credit with St George. A lender has to take into account your existing limits in offering additional limits (my understanding is they have to treat it as if you have maxed out all limits currently available to you).

Edit: Not financial advice, seek professional advice as to how this may apply to your situation :)

Glad I’m not holding out for this one.

Sounds like you have a similar problem to me, St George are looking into it now for me, they can approve the card but due to an IT glitch they cant progress the approval to a card issue. I had to raise a formal complaint and request an annual fee waiver but now that the complaints dept are looking into it, I might actually see some progress. They have called me twice today so something has changed.

I'm coming up on 2.5 weeks now, strangely I received the welcome pack last friday but internet banking still says the account is awaiting income verification

Do you get a paper statement or only email and have to register internet online banking to get statement?

How did you get on?
Im in same position but only applied today..

Ended up ringing today, IT Glitch excuse for the delay.
Stated the card should be received by myself in 5-7 business days.
