Applied for this card for my wife.
StG rang her to seek mortgage details.
I'd put the mortgage payments on the application, and StG actually hold the mortgage and our bank a/c we pay it out of and have done for 10 years
I personally wouldn't keep it as the points earn (0.75 to the dollar) is not the best. You can get 1point/$1 out there.Got the 80k points in my second statement last week!! This is my first time earning bonus points from a credit card. Well, its actually my first time earning any points from a credit card.
I have also requested my Qantas lounge invitations which will take 14 days to arrive.
Now, should I keep or close the card? I reckon closing is better so as to not miss out on any bonus point offers that may come up next year. What do the experienced card churners say?

10000000% agree. And don't let a little thing like your credit score bother you
Unless you have hundreds of thousands of dollars going through an account then the only way to earn large point tallies is to churn and burn!

It's doesn't work that way.How does the credit score affect us? I noticed the score go down by 5 points on credit savvy when I applied for this card. If it keeps going down by 5 points for every card I apply, I should still be above 800 after a couple of years.
