So we had our "courtesy of amex" J award flight bne>ba and the return in Y+ all set.. but the Itinerary evolved to need a few more days.

The morning and evening ritual of interrogating the website became a little boring as the availability for nearly everything was vacuumed up by the lifting of the recession cloud.

A wistful but unhopeful pass a few days back revealed the magic of 2 QF j seats ba>syd direct.
The helpful operator who changed the seats was a study in inscrutability when the subject of allocating F seats as J was raised.

Management , adamant that the ducks be arranged, rang yesterday hoping to score some decent seats upstairs... and later ..sweetly advised me that we now had f seats out and back.

I am not at all sure about her wisdom in taking a centre seat (I guess thats mine ) and a window seat .. but she sure was in the right place at the right time..

Never give up ..
