Hi All,

On a recent flight from MEL - PVG with my brother, I was supposed to have his SC's pooled to me for one way to enable me to become Gold after the return trip. Unaware of exactly how the family pool sign up works, I accidentally pooled my points to his account instead of his points to mine. So we fixed the pooling for the return leg, but that did not help our cause as I needed the status credits for a return trip + one way of my brothers trip. This has left me 20 SC's short of gold before my next flight in 10 days time.

Is there anyway that I can get the family pooling reversed? Or any easy way to get 20SC's? A donation from someone would be handy too!

Cheers

Do you not use Flybuys at all? That may have given you enough SC's in time. Other than that it's a cheap flight.

If it were me, I'd spend a Saturday or Sunday going for a couple of short return joyflights. That'll get you 20 SC in one day.........

Flybuys only do it once a month, about the 04 or 05. Not enough time for the OP. Taking a cheap flight is not feasible, as on cheap short hops, VA SC now earn at a rate of 5 SC, ie, MEL - ADL and return will give you only 10. You need to fly MEL - BNE in what their new name is, which I don't know, but probably earns 10 each way, or MEL - PER. You could do MEL - ADL whY and ADL - MEL in whJ.

Before you attempt a status run, give them a call they might be able to help you out.

I doubt they will be of much help but you can try... Just do a status run day trip.
