With the long weekend, again we have the stupid fares where business is cheaper than red-e-deals in some cases.

eg. Hobart to Perth Sun 27 April.

These arent stupid fares the 1700+ red-e-deal is actual a combo of a red-e-deal HBAMEL and full J MELPER on QF1010&QF769.
The fare family of the first flight calcs the thru additive fare.
BFOD via SYD on QFin ecy about 700

So it's $1,943 for econ hob-mel and bus mel-per

yet only $1,662 for a bus hob-mel and bus mel-per

Sorry I still don't see the logic there..

It has been explained before. It is an artefact of the ways fares are calculated.
