Stupid Q - Transferring Points to Spouse?

Sorry, i know this is a stupid q, and i'm pretty sure i've read that you CAN'T
transfer Amex points to AsiaMiles in your spouse's name.
I am the primary card holder and DH is the supplement card holder.

Just want to confirm if this is correct.

Asiamiles wants to charge US$180 to transfer 10,000 points from one acct to the other.

I did a search for this, but nothing came up.

Yes that is correct you can't transfer points to an account that isn't yours.

10,000 points isn't even worth $180!!! What a rip off.

It would be much easier to transfer to your own asiamiles account and issue the ticket in her name.

I am point rich but DH has 20K points in his AsiaMiles account that doesn't get used as he does not gets any MR on his own
