Suggestions needed! Amex run electronic check, but no luck.
I applied for amex explorer card, and have been requested for passport number to run electronic check. Provided, but amex did not find any result on my passport (not sure what this means). I assume its due to I had never had any credit card (only debit card) in australia?
Then amex has asked for driver license number, but I only provided age proof card. Still no luck on electronic check on this one.

Does anyone have any experience on this please, any suggestion is appreciated!

Merry Christmas!

If you are using non-Australian passport, then AMEX won't be able to check, and if you are not holding a driver licence, then most likely you will not get approved by AMEX credit cards, unless you can convince AMEX that you have an wealthy regular income.

I'm guessing you are non-Australian permanent resident, as normally Financial Institutionl asks two types of ID, and typically people will provide drivers licence and Medicare card.

The problem you're having now is that you're supplying identity information to them to allow them to establish who you are for the purpose of checking your credit file details with the agencies, and none of those agencies are able to identify you.

Under such a circumstance they are unlikely to extend credit to you. They need to both ensure the validity of your identity and your credit worthiness and from the sounds of things they are unable to confirm either.
