SWISS Airlines - Whats the best way to accrue points / status for a VA Plat member???

Looking at a number of flights on Swiss in the coming month. Chose Swiss as they have some great mixed Business / Economy deals.
Im a VA Platinum member but im not sure how to best use the points?
A> Use a Krisflyer account to accrue points and transfer to VA? But what about SC's?
B> Use another airline to gain oneworld or Star Alliance SC's and points?
C. Try for a status match challenge on QF ? But would the points , SC's count from Swiss?
D> Any other recommendations.

Flying MEL - FCO
FCO - DUS
DUS - BKK
BKK-MEL

Swiss is in Star Alliance, so you could accrue points with SQ. You could then transfer the points to Velocity if you wanted, but you wouldn't get any SCs.

That's the only way to get any benefit if your only program is VA. Swiss and Virgin are not partners (and neither are QF and Swiss). Otherwise, you'd need to join another Star Alliance program.
