Swiss International First Class RTW Special to 31 Dec 2010

Found a good First Class RTW special online using mostly LX but including UA and QF.
$11,742 (incl. taxes). Limited to 2 stops and you must stopover in ZRH. Includes one return flight to numerous European Cities. Up to 4 more stopovers can be added for $100 per stop per person.

This is via an online travel agent.
I sent through a proposed itinerary to see what they could come up with:

SYD-JFK on UA then
JFK-ZRH on LX then
ZRH-LHR-ZRH on LX then
ZRH-HKG on LX then
HKG-SYD on QF

All First Class sectors in A with the ZRH-LHR-ZRH flights in J.
Fare quote is $12,137 per person becuase we are breaking our trip in the US instead of going through to ZRH.

Seems a little too good to be true but I did find the fare on two different online travel agent sites and checked their agent accreditation, insurance etc and all seems OK.

Thinking of taking my daughter on this trip when she finishes High School this year before she leaves us and goes on to Uni in a different city.

Any thoughts? I did research LX and their new first product looks great!

FF earning potential on UA Mileage Plus and QFF for the QF sector. Mostly a OW setup by the looks.

$12K is an expensive mixed J/F RTW with only 2 stops.... :!:

In comparision, you could get a * alliance RTW business fare for ~$8-9k with 12 stopovers.

There is a singapore airlines special out atm too which is under $11 for a J/F mix.

I've also been on Swiss business and the seats are average. They remind me of JAL seats. Not flat also...

IT looks like it is basically F, with only intra Europe sectors in J.

Just wondering also. Since UA lounge in SYD no longer exists what lounges are available. Is it the NZ or the SQ lounge for UA First PAX?
