Hi

I want to book SYD-BME on 23.7.16 and want to fly direct so that obligates QF on my understanding. Also want to fly DRW-SYD on 11.8.16. Will be on land between BME and DRW.

Interested in any suggestions as to the best way to ticket these two sectors to get the best price.

Am I confined to just booking two one way tickets or is there another fare structure that may reduce the usual high one way costings x 2?

Cheers

Geoff

Being a domestic itinerary, you won't be penalised for booking 2x one-way tickets.

If you want to fly Qantas the whole way, then you can always book a multi-city ticket on the QF website. Though there is no particular benefit in doing so; the price should be the same either way.

If I were you I'd book SYD-BME on QF and VA on the return. VA and QF are about the same price for DRW-SYD on 11/8, except that the VA flight leaves around 2pm and the QF flight at around 1am. There's also a QF flight in the afternoon but it's ~$100 more expensive.

Maybe set a price alert. DRW-SYD has been as low as $195 in a Y sale in the past month or so. They might not get back to that level, but anything less than $220 I'd snap straight away.

I'm unfamiliar with BME services and pricing so can't assist there.

Hi Mattg

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have blinkered loyalty to QF but want to do both sectors direct so on my understanding that obligates QF on SYD-BME.

Cheers

Hi Captain

Thanks for the tip. I Have set a price alert. If it goes under $200-$220 I will be like a seagull on a hot chip!

Cheers
