QF has some decent fares to Singapore at the moment ($788 inc taxes) so I'm thinking of flying up to call on some clients. I usually go direct SYD-SIN but noticed a SYD-BNE-SIN routing offered, would this earn me more status credits compared to flying direct? The route has the bonus that the SYD-BNE leg leaves from Sydney International so I can enjoy time in Sydney's QFF lounge.

it does give you slightly more credits, and also has the benefit of having an aircraft with more classes than that sold on the route operating until Sept as previously it was only a 2class A330, so your chances of scoring a good seat are great.
