Arrived at syd term 3 for my flight. Had to use the checkin counter as luggage was going onto TPE.

No one in line, but no one at the counter either. So I stood there for about 2 minuets while 3 CSA were chatting at the service desk. After they finished what must've been very important gossip, one of them walked to the counter and said 'next'.

Oh why thank you for taking the time to help me.

Food at the J lounge was nice. But then we Asians eat anything.

Marocan fish stew
Ciabatta filled with mushy peas
Meat and mushroom pie

All Hot! They must be trolling the forum.

Looking forward to reading more about Eva- have seen them on the ground & seen their fares but never flown them

Eva are a secretive lot, corporately. Who owns them? Or rather.....who controls them!

Eva is a huge group with lots of logistic businesses. Anyhow,

Sitting on the t-bus to the international terminal. After paying $5.

Sydney chick couldn't check me into the BNE-TPE flight and told me to do it at BNE. Which means I didnt have a boarding pass, which means you pay.

Guess I'll just chase it up with QF later.

The flight may not have been open.

At this time of night, the BNE lounge is pretty empty and the offering is quite meager. Probably a good thing. Don't think I could have a 3rd dinner so soon.

BNE could really do with a signage refresh. Tends I blend in with the surrounding a little too well.

Went through security with the crew. It's a bit of a worry when the FO doesn't know he needs to take his laptop out of the bag.

The flight was mostly smooth, first time on a flat angled bed. Not a big fan of sliding off my seat at all. Didn't get much sleep.

Wet towel before and after meal.

Food was good. Not as fancy as our Neil. had cork flakes in my wine. Don't think the white was chilled.

Tv screen about the same size as my iPad. Not much blockbuster choices (around 10 and doesn't include the latest)

Toiletry bag was dull. Will do a write up later about it.

My expectations weren't high so was not disappointed.

Speak for yourself. :)

Did they offer an explanation in BNE as to why your bags couldn't be checked through?

Was the cost for these flights as low as your expectations?

Post some photos. :)

I didn't ask why she couldn't check me in.

Flying BR to TPE is much cheaper than flying CX (on a JASA) but I recently found out that you can JASA to hong kong and then just buy a J ticket from HKG to TPE and save your self almost $1000

Unfortunately I didn't take photos of the cabin. I got on the plane last and the plane was full.

Toilet wasn't special. There was a fake flower and some products I didn't touch

Flying BR for a Taiwanese is the same as flying Q for an Aussie. As soon as you step on the plane it feels like taiwan. (not sure if that's a good thing :p). BR will always be the national airline serving the Taiwanese. It can't really compete on the international arena.

The amenities kit was a bit dull.

In the plasticky smelling bag came a lip balm, body lotion, tooth brush and paste, and a comb.

Eye shades and unbreathing slippers came separately.

Feels like something is missing.
