SYD - CDG with DJ Y+ and Etihad Y

through DJ/VA website I can get Y+ from SYD to Abu Dhabi on VA and then Y on Etihad to CDG.

I can put up with Y for the 6 or 7 hours it takes to fly from Abu Dhabi. Long leg from / to SYD in Y+ on VA which is seemingly a good product from what others have to say.

What is Etihad like in Y generally?

connection times are good too, only a couple of hours wait in Abu Dhabi both times.

I have flown the same way a few times now going the same way you are planning. Y+ is great on VA however there is a bit of comment on this forum bagging the Etihad leg in Y. Personally I don't have a problem with Etihad Y accept to say that if you can get an exit row you will be much better off. Make sure you try and check in early. ( I was also lucky enough to get upgraded once to J at the gate - but don't count on this) The way I look at it is that I always look forward to the Y+ leg and the Y leg is soon forgotten.

Done both (VA and EY) in J and while I way prefer Virgin's product...EY wasn't so bad. I find the food worse from AUH however and you really don't want to get stuck in the middle seat with them
