Current promo, saves you at least $5.000. I've done a dummy booking and it works.

Surprised that no one has mentioned it. Has to be the bargain of the decade.

And you might get a nice view of the South Pole to boot.

Well its one way of getting there, probably still cheaper options depending on what your priorities are in J... Have heard one or two people say some dodgy things about AA... But hopefully J would be a bit better than Y...

Bargain of the decade might be a little bit of a stretch (anyone say RGN??), but you've got my attention. Pity I've just booked some travel...

I'm planning a South American trip for work in June, let's hope this type of fare is available then!

Thanks for the heads up!!

Yes, AR are dodgy, and always late, and I have b*tched about them on AFF before.... but that is a very good price (similar to QF or Lan Y, I suspect), and if I needed to get to South America, I would probably get back on AR....

Do you have a link? I couldn't find it on their site. Or will it just show up with a dummy booking on the AR site?

Well i was jsut short handing Aerolines Argentinas or whatever down to AA without looking at the airlines specific code.... When i typed AA i thought it looked confusing, but then in the context of the thread i thought people would figure out which airline i was referring to... :)

You didn't really expect to get away with it on AFF did you :?:

Just go to expedia.com.au (but it may be too late).

Seems quite reasonable for the price.. Generally we fly LAN business but for the price I'd be happy to give it a go. In the past we flew AR domestically in their "club economy" which is business seats with very little service - both flights were on clean planes, ran on time, and had friendly attendants. But two flights is a poor sample.

They even have decent prices on flights to Santiago according to BestFlights. If only we had a reason to fly..
