Thought i would get some opinions on the best lounge to invite some friends (me + 2 others) to for an upcoming trip.
We are leaving on QF out of Sydney on a Saturday around 1pm. I hope to arrive around 10.30ish.

My initial thoughts were to try and get into the QF J lounge. I am SG so can get 1 in and hope to get a pass from here if i can or see if my brother has a spare. Its big and should suffice if we get good seats. The food is plentiful i think and i have enjoyed my time in there previously.

My brother suggests going to the AMEX / plaza premium lounge. He says while small not many people use it and the food is better than QF. I have never used the AMEX lounge before so have no idea if he is right.
He also says that somehow you can go to some downstairs area via the bathroom which sounds like the Skyteam lounge. No idea perhaps they share a bathroom back door or something.
I have a CX Elite AMEX and my ANZ Black AMEX so could probably get 3 of us into that lounge if needed.
I gave away my QF passes already so i cant get more. I tried pleading with ANZ but they wont budge.

So which is better?
Reviews i read say the AMEX lounge is good but small and crowded at times.
Some say the QF Syd lounge is dated in comparison.

Is there a better lounge i can get us into?

The Amex lounge was nice but I was in there last week and it was hot, crowded, and the wine offering nowhere near as good as it used to be.
