Hi

I have a booking SYD-MEL on 5 Feb and it seems that the flight is operated by an A333 - is that a millenium equiped A333 or something more exciting?

I plan to upgrade the flight home (763) as it will be a fairly long day so a little more space would be nice but might upgrade this as well (I can't bring myself to face whY as yet - still have to maintain the illusion).

I was not aware of A333's fying domestically - obviously I am lacking in my knowledge of domestic travel...

Cheers

S

AFAIK all the A333's are SkyBed equipped, although not sure how useful that is on SYD-MEL. They are scattered around the domestic timetable, and they certainly pop up on SYD-PER.

Good then that the upgrade for outbound is confirmed - even if homeward is not...

AFAIK, the only 333 in Qantas livery are the international configured ones.

Today two 333's are operating: QF409 & QF420 (SYD-MEL-SYD) and QF577 & QF566 (SYD-PER-SYD)

Presumably you are on QF409 which was operated by a 333 today and is scheduled for 333 on your Thursday.

Presumably you are on QF409 which is operated by a 333 most Thursdays recently.

That is correct - I shall remember that for future trips to MEL - seems like Thu is a good day to fly. Now if I could just fly back from the int'l terminal - life would be sweet :p

Interestingly both flights are showing J9/D9/I0 and I could upgrade the better a/c but not the worse one...

There's more incentive to upgrade PM flights rather than AM flights - maximizing the benifits as it were.

There's also a 332 scheduled for the 29th, it could be international or domestic configuration. In any case, there's little wrong with the newer Millennium seats on a 332 for a simple MEL/SYD segment.

I was on QF420 MEL-SYD today using the A333.

It's great being able to choose your own entertainment even for the one hour flight.

Should have used points for the J upgrade! :p

EDIT: I stand corrected pauly7

Sorry the spelling and grammar on this site is by far and away the best of most of the forums I visit but I cannot handle the use of 'of' when it should be 'have'!!!

Back OT, I had a great suprise when the A333 was subbed onto my route and I was in J - yay!

Unless QF decides to substitute the A333 for a 734/738 before then.

You can fly back from the international terminal with a simple routing like MEL-AKL-SYD. ;)
