Qantas is having a pretty amazing sale on flights to Beijing.
$420 return from Sydney. Fares are also available from MEL/BNE for $449 return or Adelaide for $473 for travel via Sydney.
Looks like you need to depart in the last week of January but can return any time. Only available on QF107/108 (the direct QF SYD-PEK flights). Be aware that this will be on an unrefurbished A330-200 with the old-style IFE and Skybeds in J (not that the J product matters as these fares won't be upgradeable).
