Just to clarify, the topic should be "SYD-PER/PER-SYD best chance of upgrade - QF565 or QF566?" ta
Hi AFFers,
Decided I wanted to visit Perth (WA's the only state I've haven't yet visited, thought it was about time!) and booked some Red e-Deal fares for Easter - SYD-PER Fri 21/3 06:10 (QF565) and departing PER Mon 24/3 16:15 (QF566).
QF565 appears to be a 737-800 (12J), and QF566 appears to be a 747-338 (52J). Am I right in assuming J on QF566 will be a Skybed (and QF565 will be regular domestic J seating - Dreamtime seats)?
I'm considering surprising my girlfriend with an upgrade to J for one leg, and wondering which one I'd have a better chance with?
My thinking is QF566, because:
QF566 would definitely be my choice if it's a Skybed. I could always just hope for an op-up on QF565 I guess.
Appreciate any advice or past experiences.
Cheers,
- Febs.
PS: I'm a WP, so hopefully that might help with any ODU request.

My thinking is QF566, because:
- Easter time = more Y pax on holidays, and less J pax on business?
- 52 J seats vs 12 J seats
QF566 would definitely be my choice if it's a Skybed. I could always just hope for an op-up on QF565 I guess.
Appreciate any advice or past experiences.
