Hi .. I had a decent search around prior to posting to forgive me if this has been posted before.

I want to book SYD - SIN - LHR return on QF in December.

I have enough points (128k at the moment) to do SYD - SIN - SYD in J.

I've checked and my dates are available, both on the A380 (bonus).

What is the best option to pay for the rest of the flight? ie SIN - LHR - SIN in J.

Is it easy to link it up with my Award Booking? Can Qantas do this for you?

I'm Platinum FF if that helps at all.

Thanks in advance.

I can't help with you question.

but I'm looking to do some similar next year. I think i convinced myself that I'm better off using points of the long leg SIN-Europe because this is the longer leg and if i have to i can buy a cheaper flight to SIN. I realise that you might not have the points required, just a consideration i guess

JDS - one way would be to go SYD-SIN on an award booking, and then, on the same plane, to use the Singapore portal to book a sepearate ticket from SIN-LHR.

I did something like this earlier int he year - and SIN-LHR via the Singapore portal is a lot cheaper than booking the equivalent from the Aus portal.

Awesome thanks mate.

It's ok being Australian with Australian credit card to use this portal?

The SIN - LHR - SIN for business saver is SGD$7308 / AUD$6043 which seems very reasonable!!

There shouldn't be any issue booking with an Australian CC off the qantas.com.sg websites. I've booked a dozen or so such fares (to SYD, LHR etc) without issue.

Whatever you do, do *not* take a BA flight on a sector to save points/cost. You will forever regret it!
