Syd to Jnb - EY / SQ / SA

Hi All
planning to take better half and self to JNB in april, cant decide what works best.
1. I know VA sells JNB flights on sq and you earn full points and sc
2. do SA flights earn SC and Points
3. do all ey flights earn sc and points. I am thinking of flying to auh spend a day or two there and then fly onwards to jnb

Didn't VA recently begin a codeshare arrangement with SA from Perth?
That would probably be the most direct option with full VA points/sc earn.

thanks Jousams, any idea on when are the details of the partnership expected to be published. the VA page still does not have SAA as an airline partner...
