Sydney Airport - International check in [How Early?]

How early can I check in , I am flying to Denpassar on 6th Nov and have a lounge pass so want to check in 4 hours before my flight and do bag drop as I am meeting a friend. Is this possible ?

Welcome to AFF @beverleychatt You'll find that AFF members are usually very welling to assist in answering question, but you've made things a little difficult. I'd want to know at least the following before being able to provide a correct response:

1) Any status level you have?
2) What class you are flying?
3) What airline you are flying with?
4) Which lounge do you want to use?

Without this, the best I can say is may be.

QF certainly has all day check in at SYD but not all airlines have permanent check in counters.
Most airlines only staff their check in counters when flights are scheduled.
So it does depend on the airline as @Dr Ralph has stated.

If you are flying Qantas should be ok. I often arrive early in Sydney at least four hours before an international flight and have never had a problem.
