Anyone here have much experience with the kerbside check in procedure and Valet service at Sydney Lounge Premium entry? We are flying next week and wish to use this option, so would appreciate advice from seasoned travellers on it's merits and drawbacks.

Thanks in advance.

I use it regularly but would not call it kerbside check in.

You simply pull up in the dedicated area. An attendant will come over and tag your keys and give you a ticket. They will also ask you to open the boot and glove compartment for a quick look.

Takes all of a couple of minutes max if it's not busy.

Then walk inside the premium entry and there is the kiosks there and 2 attendants. I always check in online so just grab my boarding pass from them.

Walk through ugh the security screening point and into the lounge.

It's only available if you are flying business or are gold or platinum. You can only also have hand luggage only - cannot use it if you have bags to check.

Great to know, many thanks for the information. The online check in is an excellent tip.

You can use the premium entry after you check in your luggage at the main check in desks.

It's probably the best option during peak. There are no priority security queues in T2 and the main lounge entry can get packed.

For the valet parking. Do they Park under cover? Thanks.

I only ever park for a day trip and my car has been dry even on a rainy day.

To collect your car you go up to departures and walk to the far end of the terminal (so to the left if you're facing the counters) and the counter is there to pay and collect keys and the car is right there in that park beside the departure area. Simply walk through the door.

Looks like we'll just be cruising in on foot. Went online to pay and they wanted to slug us over $140 for one nights parking. So we opted for a DIY P1 park instead, found a promo code and got the same parking structure for $67, and all for the effort of parking the car ourselves. hahahaha
