To summarize, Plaza Premium has decided to open an arrivals lounge at the international terminal just after customs and beside the Aerotel transit hotel. The lounge features the usual stuff you expect to find in a lounge such as food, seating and most importantly showers. Access is either pay per use (e.g. $40 for 2 hours) or if you happen to have select AmEx cards such as the Platinum or Centurion. Correct me if I'm mistaken here, but I believe this will be the first international arrivals lounge Sydney has had either in a long time or forever.
Looking at the review the lounge very much reminds me of the Plaza Premium arrivals lounge at the Queen's terminal of Heathrow. Not the most exciting lounge but it ticks all the boxes one would expect from an arrivals lounge. And certainly as someone who faces a 90 minute train ride from the airport back home it's always nice to have a meal and freshen up before heading on the train.
Would be curious if anyone has had a chance to make use of the lounge and what the general impression is?
