Has anyone taken a jar of Psyillum capsules (a fibre diet supplement) into another country? Does this product need to be declared and shown to customs officials?
We will enter Chile (Santiago airport) and USA (Fort Lauderdale). The pysillum is vegetable husk but is 'contained' in a capsule . I thought this would be a more acceptable way of taking it overseas with me.
Thanks in advance.

Interesting question. I've carried Psyllium into a few countries and never had any problems. Just never thought to declare it.

I see it as a type of health supplement, not a vegetable product. I don't declare vitamins, even though they contain some vegetable products. (Although a bottle of multi-Vs did flag me for a secondary at Brisbane once. Must have appeared on the x-ray as a plant product. Once they saw what it was, I was out the door quickly... )
