Wondering about having the French eurorail pass to access TGV however I think I need to book each ticket ?

We have a week where we want to trundle a bit and trying to work out using the eurail ticket as opposed to point to point is better
Main areas are Paris , Lille and Disneyland. May explore a bit further if we get the pass

Thanks :)

You just need to do some dummy bookings and check the prices. Many years ago the Eurail was great value but the past few times I have just purchased point to point tickets. Something to remember is that although you have the pass on some trips you have to book a seat and that can cost 10 euros.

I like this website to check out trains in Europe bahn.com, your mobility portal - travel, holidays, hotels, city breaks and car rentals

Good luck and let us know what you decide

Skip the Eurail Rail Pass and buy direct.

This site will tell all you need to know about train travel: The Man in Seat Sixty-One - the train travel guide...
Note that if you buy tickets when the booking wondow opens, there are some great reductions to be had.

The site will also discus the pro and cons of the Eurail and InrerRail (If you live in Europe) Passes, plus other passes, if you want to go that way: Beginner's guide to Eurail passes 2019 | Buy a Eurail pass online

PS: Also many companies that sell the Eurail Rail Pass will skim you for extra dollars.

Thanks @VPS I was kinda leaning towards point to point but thought the eurail may make it easier
@lovetravellingoz love the seat 61 man he has some great info and photos.

I think we shall probable do the point to point and take a chance of wanting later trains on some days
Worse come worse we just fork out for a change of ticket
Thank you both
