Hi,

We had seats 4 seats booked together on TG670 (BKK-CTS) for mid January 2024 and got an email today saying one of our seats has been re-assigned. It is still showing as a 787-9.

We were booked into row 49 in seats ABCD and now 49D has been moved to 46D (extra legroom seat in both cases, though was several rows away). 47ABC was available so we moved forward a few rows to be closer to 46D.

When I check the updated seat map in manage my booking it differs from the 787-9 seat map shown on the Thai website. It shows row 46 is the first row of the rear section of economy and is a normal 3-3-3 row instead of being row 48 which is a 3-gap-3 row.

Do Thai have a new configuration 787-9 or are leasing from another carrier? Is the seat map in manage my booking a reliable representation? I couldn’t find a seat map for a Thai 787-9 that matches the seat map I see in manage my booking.

Cheers Mark, I had checked FlyerTalk yesterday and didn’t find that thread.

I think it is more than a codeshare block of seats that was being discussed on flyertalk, the rows have moved relative to where the galleys are located so the layout does appear to be physically different.
