Flying to coughet next week with Thai from Perth Via BK, was wondering what the rate for a upgrade would be from Y to ? With *A Gold, hopefully it's the Dreamliner as per schedule , wondering if it's worth asking?.

Paid upgrades are available at the airport, from Perth to Bangkok these range from $730-$890 depending on the base fare class. If you have Thai Airways elite status you will have more of a change for a free upgrade if they need to move people forward. Otherwise a combination of star alliance status and/or the fare paid will determine who gets first picking after that (in the case of operational need).
