Thanks to the flight crew - Card and Chocolates

I give a small box of chocolates to each crew member when flying at Christmas time. I speak to the CSM and pass them for distribution to the crew with my thanks. Last year the captain and first officer both sent their thanks back to me as did every crew member I spoke with.

Just a small thing and having worked many, many Christmas holidays I know what it is like to be away from family and friends.

And yes the staff at my local lounge got a big box to share with my thanks for all the great they've done during the year.

Well, I have to report that the choccies and card had a great effect. I'm not sure how many crew stopped by my seat to say thank you, and the cabin manager also came down and said thanks. She said no one had ever done that on a flight she was on.
I ended up with a spare set of business class pajamas and comfort kit as their way of saying thanks to me. I really did try to refuse them, but he insisted I take them as a sign of their gratitude.
In short, I was happy I did it, and they seemed genuinely grateful for the gift.
Now back out to the 105F day outside!!!
