Saw Bruce Springsteen at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday night.

After ten years since the last appearance in Australia was well worth the wait. Did anyone else have the pleasure or are you booked in to any of his other shows.

Nah, he's pretty good (I have The River at home) and i wouldn't mind seeing him but my dollars ended up with Neil and Crazy Horse last night in Melbourne (excellent show).

Saw him and the E-St band at QE II in 1986! Missed this one though.

Husband is seeing Bruce in Sydney tomorrow night. By himself - he couldn't find anyone else who wanted to go :)

Didn't mean to offend, so why aren't you going, my wife was indifferent came away converted. Great entertainer who gets the audience involved, if you can get a ticket grab it you won't regret.

I'm not offended irv, I'm just not that into music and fairly uninterested in Bruce. If it was cheaper I'd consider it but the ticket + airfare + a hotel (husband stays with parents if I don't go) makes it costly.

Michael loves music so he often goes to concerts without me but I think this is the first totally alone. Well as alone as you get with however many thousand people there!

I went to Mumford and Sons with him in Canberra last October, just five days after flying back from NYC. I managed to sleep through most of it!

Happy I didn't tread on toes. We are in a similar position, regional NSW and when you take the other costs into account it is quite dear.

It was a great concert and given he is 63, and ten years since the last concert, we took the decision it might be the last. However said that if I could perform like that at 63 (let alone now) there might be a final hurrah.

A few big concerts in QLD at the moment.

Kiss was in MKY on Sat night

Set to continue I think. Apparantly all big venues are booked out this year., to the extent ZZ Top are forced to play the Southport RSL!

Ahhh, thanks for the memories swanning it

i was at QE11 in 1986 also.....and yes it was outside, dancing, singing, raining.....fantastic!!

sorry I missed this one too

If I recall correctly (and there's no guarantee of that ;)), it was a huge U shaped stage and Clarence Clemons used to absolutely race out to the end of the right side U. For a big man he seemed pretty fit and then managed to play the sax (may the big guy RIP)! I sort of recall Stevie Van Zandt being there too, but I think I'm most likely mistaken there as I'm sure he left the E Street band in the early '80's.........perhaps you might be able to confirm if my memory is in fact fooling me, or did he do that tour with the Boss???? (I just did a quick google and the tour didn't rate a mention).

Also the same year I saw Dire Straits in March at the same venue..........absolutely fabulous!

Just realised why I couldn't find the tour anywhere....it was in '85 not '86! Knew my memory was wilting!

haha...well obviously neither is mine, as I just believed you.
come to think of it I wasn't even in Queensland in 86, I was living in Sydney by then.
I think.....
Those were the days
