Wondering if any AFF'ers have stayed at this property? The rates for my visit in October are very competitive compared to other Hilton / SPG properties - about the same as the Garden Inn Downtown. The site lists free wifi and continental breakfast as on property HH Gold benefits.

Looks similar to the Waldorf Astoria in NYC, where I stayed a few years ago and quite enjoyed the old world ambience.

We stayed there about 12 years ago and did enjoy it-I was diamond at the time so got a lake view room.
A bit quirky but we enjoyed it.
At one end of the CBD so a fair bit of walking but it's flat so not much trouble.

Thanks dr, I went ahead and booked. A Lakeview room in an interesting "historic" property, around $50 cheaper per night than other alternatives. Last time I stayed at a US Hilton was Diamond, and not expecting too much love as a gold.
