I had this also! Got upgraded from DXB to CDG. Was nice. J cabin was full. Was my first EK flight and I am only gold, so I was pretty stoked! The lounge was great.
Had pretty good treatment whilst in Y on the A380 also. CSM introduced themselves and they were quite polite and responsive (but I didn't really ask for anything, I just slept).
