The Virgin Australia Platinum Room would be an exclusive lounge for the most loyal platinum members. However, It is a bit different to most exclusive lounge offerings.
The entrance to the platinum room is via a lift with chrome doors embossed with the Virgin Maiden, at the end of a long white corridor which seemingly changes colours via LEDs. When the doors open at the platinum room all that can be seen is a frosted glass "water wall". Walking around the "water wall" you are faced with a small corridor, with a small dining area of around six tables and a small illuminated bar. Along the sides of the walls lining the hall are doors, each one leading to a small, personal space. Let's say about eight small rooms.
Each small personal space features:
- A small Shower, and restroom facilities
- A comfortable recliner, with blankets and a pillow and a side table and chair if you wish to eat with a guest in private.
- A flat screen television
- An iPad with the latest newspapers, and a call button to call staff
This, in my opinion, would be truly world class.
I would love your opinions and suggestions - thanks Mish for helping me!
