The Residence Singapore

Hi Everyone

We are looking at a Hotel in Singapore called The Residence at Singapore Recreation Club. can anyone provide a review or experience of this hotel/

We like the idea of an indoor pool, the open ground and being close to so many things such as the gardens, Raffles etc.

Have stayed there several times the last being for the F1 last year. I prefer the rooms on the padang side as there is less road noise and a pleasant view looking towards the sing cricket club at the far end. Breakfast is adequate and evening meals are tasty and quite cheap from memory.
There is indeed an indoor pool which I haven't tried plus a good gym. There are only about 21 rooms in this club/hotel so it is quite small. There is a dress code if you go to the bar (no shorts) but I never went in so no problems. You can walk into the hotel in shorts/thongs just not in certain areas.
The best thing about it is the location. About 5min walk to the City hall mrt and the raffles plaza and hotel. I would stay there again.
