Limited to just 16 participants*, The Second Coming is a stripped down, acoustic, more up market tour to the Barossa Valley. There will be no prizes, giveaways or any quizzes on this tour.

The tour is on Sunday 18th August and the details are as follows:

Morning.

Departing from the Hilton Adelaide and not our usual departure point at 08:30, we will travel by luxury 45 seater coach** to HEMERA ESTATE for a private premium tasting accompanied by a selection of cheeses. The tasting commences at 10:00am and is followed by a tour of the vineyard. The experience will take about 1.5 hours.

Lunch.

At about 11:30 we shall leave Hemera Estate for MAGGIE BEER - THE FARM EATERY for a sit down 3 course lunch in their private dining area, just off the main restaurant. Whilst lunch is included in the cost of the tour, beverages shall be at your own expense.

A wide range of beverages are available ranging from beer, wine and gin. We are fortunate to be able to BYO wine although a $15 per bottle corkage charge shall apply.

Our leisurely lunch experience shall last for about 1.5 to 2 hours allowing us to relax, enjoy each other’s company and indulge in some fabulous food and drinks. During this time, you may even wonder over to the Maggie Beer shop where you can sample some fabulous products at no charge and if you wish, purchase some goodies to take home with you.

Afternoon.

Leaving Maggie Beer around 1:45 we board our coach and head off to ELDERTON WINES where hopefully Alistair Ashmead shall greet us for not only a vineyard visit but a tasting of some special wines in the Command Lounge, an area normally reserved for Command members. Cameron will be overseas during our visit, Alistair will be our host if available on the day.

We expect to depart Elderton between 3:30 and 4:00 and arrive at Adelaide Airport by 5:30 should anybody require an airport drop off. Our final drop off shall be back where we started – the Hilton.

Cost and Ticketing.

Tickets will be available for purchase in approximately two months’ time upon my return to Australia. Those that indicate they are Platinum for this event shall be sent an email link about one week before the link is posted on this thread.

All inclusive cost for this event is $140.00 however the booking site may charge you a fee beyond my control, for the service they provide.

See this LINK re collection of funds.

* If there are more than 16 interested the group size may be increased subject to availability.

** Coach size subject to minimum guests attending.

I'll have a chat to a daughter. She's really keen that we attend one of these together.

....at the risk of mentioning “the 3 of us” again, PLATINUM.

I think I am unlikely, as this is slap bang in the middle of a visit by my mother and family from the UK to the GC. I did have a brief look to see if it would be possible to fly in for the day only, but nothing arrives early enough :(

I shall have to skip this tour and see everyone at the next one!

We’d really really love to come....but not sure it’s baby suitable?

Thank goodness, I'll be somewhere in Tajikistan at this time. Else I'd be there, notwithstanding I have three visits to the Barossa booked already. :)

Get her started early. Plenty of aunties and uncles to do baby sitting duties
Without taking anything else into consideration, is it legal to travel on a coach with a baby on your lap?

Baby seats can be added I’m sure

Sounds great, not sure I or we can commit to a colour yet .. still recovering from Sunday, thanks to pesky work and other gallivanting about this week.
