After a difficult week of v long days, being in central nsw at a mine site had taken it's toll, and all I was looking forward to yesterday was a quick flight home and my own bed. My week was something like this:
Mon. Up at 0400 to finish off OHS requirements (paperwork) before leaving home. 0530, pack bag, 0535, 10 min shower, 0550 coffee in hand waiting outside for driver with 400 odd pages of OHS docs in trusty mont blanc computer bag...
QF managed to find a smooth path to Sydney where the mad scientist and I snagged 27a & 27b with 1c & 1d for our Dubbo leg...
Check in at Mel. Friendly, chatty organised lady, 10 out of 10.
Lounge dragon, no interaction.
Mel/Syd FA's, friendly, smiley, attentive
Syd/Dbo Fa (front), Great young lady, friendly, chatty, attentive...
What's wrong with this picture so far one asks!
OK, some very long days and back to Dbo for a return to Syd for an overnight at Rydges, into the office for the day and a JQ home on Thur late arvo.
Dbo/Syd, cannot comment on service, seat 2c, asleep before takeoff and awoke on touchdown. Luggage beat me to the belt..,
Thursday arvo, meeting caused us to leave the office late, changes to plan while driving toward Syd, now on Qf flight back to Mel, boarding in about 1 hour.
J checkin at Syd, nice lady, friendly, asking how our day had been etc. She was then outshone by the J lounge dragon, who was so friendly and chatty I was starting to wonder if I had somehow crossed dimensions somewhere, ODU to J, I shouted the mad scientist at 8k each (!), and into the lounge to await the flight. Flight called, seated in 3a & 3b, FA Kathryn then reminded me what J service wad all about. She was the best FA I have had in recent memory, attentive, funny, awesome service, no request was too much, I even asked her if she had attended a different FA school from the others!
I cannot find any fault in the Qf service I have just had, wow sums it up. I sure hope this is a sign of things to come or am I dreaming...
