Hi All,
Stayed at the Star in Sydney last week for 2 nights, booked on Wotif.com for 255 per night.
Was upgraded/moved to the apartments tower which is within the same complex.
The room was of a very good standard was very clean and had all the amenities (4 out of 5 for the room)
I ate dinner at Bistro 80 inside the Casino, it again was very good and had an excellent Wagyu. (4 out of 5)
Overall even though the location was a bit out of the way (was working in at Town hall) its close enough to walk around to darling harbour and all its eateries.
Given the prices of Sydney accommodation midweek it was a bargain (I normally stay at the Westin, but it was 380 per night)
Apparently the Star will credit to QF FF points (not holding my breath)
I tried on fairly short notice to use the spa, (24 hours notice) but it was fully booked, and apparently is so many weeks in advance.
I am not much of a gambler so the casino part didn't interest me much, but there were plenty of food and drink options because of the casino.
And for those who are so inclined, try Messina Gelati (its no Lygon street) but it was very good.
Overall 4 out of 5 stars.
Cheers
