The Time has come

After nearly a year contributing to this forum, trying to provide information, sharing tips etc, I have decided its time to log off for good.
Recent arrogant posts by certain members (You know who you are, you arrogant F C W A T whatever other letter you wish to use), has made me realise I just dont fit in here.
I was never a believer in "Class levels" in society, however certain members of this forum have displayed, the arrogant upper class, look down their nose at you attitude that typifies a distinct class, an upper class, who feels they are above everyone else, who have the only opinion which counts. I personally would rather hang out with normal, working class people, than arrogant try hard snotty nosed W*******

To the nice people I have met (And there have been many) I wish you all the best, I tried to attend events, even offering to contribute items for events, however, the bottom line is we attract likes, and unfortunately, my life and social status is not what appears to be the norm around here, so with that, I will take my middle class attitude, and middle class laptop, and guest a stack of fellow bogans into the lounge. So if you see a bald bloke in the lounge surrounded by Bogans, thats me, and hell, Im even going to make a habit of wearing Jeans, work boots, and a lovely flouro shirt every time I fly, I even bought a nice flouro fleecy lined jumper today

I am truly sorry you have come to this decision, but obviously do respect your decision. AFF is a true community with all kinds of people - many, indeed most, from the 'middle class' who participate.

We try to accommodate all views, even if we (admin + mods) don't share them.

Hope you stick around in the long run MarkD - for what its worth I have always enjoyed your input in the forums. All the best of travelling if you do decide to take a "rest" from AFF or if it is permanent, from a fellow "pleb" and sometime real PWWHV clothing wearer.

That's the funny thing about d**'s. Life is full of them, you have just got to learn to ignore….. Hell I ignore a good 25% of the members of this forum for the same reason as yours…

I don't know that I am fully comfortable surrounding myself with bogans in hi-vis, but I pretty much always wear cargos and t-shirts. Unless in uniform or it's a formal occasion. My wife always says "are you wearing that?". If I ever get tried for murder, I'll front up to the judge in my cargos. An a-hole wearing a suit is still an a-hole.

I don't really believe in classes. Everyone has their own gifts and strengths, but (as an example) when they're lying on a bed in the ED, everyone is at the same level. It's the great equaliser.

Some peeps may think they're on a different level, but there are many many situations that put everyone on an equal footing.

Good luck. If I see a bald dude in the lounge wearing hi-vis, I'll say hi.

Unfortunately in the past 12 months it has gotten worse and worse. It almost feels like being on Flyertalk with all the abuse hurled around when people about their bad experiences.
