Which led to going back to my original office.

Cancellation reason? Weather (cyclone). That's odd, other flights are all going and one is flying towards where the cyclone/tropical storm is. More like the plane wasn't available!

How do you find the Earthpak?

It's been brilliant so far, has sat out in bucketing rain and everything was bone dry inside. I've expanded the size up to maximum as I have to take some additional gear down with me on the flight today, but then once that's dumped I will simply roll it back down and the bag becomes much smaller. Happy with the £50 spent on it.

I guess the only gotcha is difficult to secure/lock it, best you can do is the bag tag goes around the carry handles.....

I have never seen a photo of a San Marino registered aircraft before. There a few photos of it - a Boeing 737 Business Jet - dropping into various Asian airports over the last year or two. The owner is mostly shown as 'Private' but it appears to be operated by Asian Corporate Aviation Management of Singapore. I strongly suspect that a lot of very publicity shy money is involved in its trips.
Very late to the party dragging up this quote from Oct last year…

Transiting IST in Dec I too saw an aircraft with a San Marino connection. Had no idea why there was an A330 with San Marino written on the fuselage parked opposite our TK 737. I thought San Marino was too small to have its own airline, so figured it was a private jet for the Prince, Prime minister, President or whatever the head of state of San Marino is. (Apparently they have two ‘Captains Regent’ as head of state: San Marino country brief)

It turns out that San Marino Executive Aviation have two A330-300s in cargo configuration that they use for charters around the world. So, wont be adding that airline to my list of airlines flown on any time soon… I will however be visiting San Marino during a European holiday in April/May. It was the AFF search function using the words San Marino that led me to the post from @OZDUCK.

My SIL's step-son is married to the daughter of the owner (you are still following?) of a cargo airline in Luxembourg. They have managed a couple of SYD-LUX flights seated in extra seats located behind the coughpit.

Matt - I need to book for a couple of nights in Lisbon - would you recommend this hotel and the area - anyone else I'm happy to hear suggestions

@VPS The Holiday Inn Express that I stayed it is sort of in the business district, quite close to Marques de Pombal (a big roundabout close to a theme park). Easy metro connections to the rest of the city. So I'd say the location is fine. It's not in the historical centre or in Alfama though, which might be a bit closer to touristy stuff and a bit more "beautiful".

The hotel itself was pretty good for a Holiday Inn Express. Just don't bother with the coffee machine at breakfast, that was really bad coffee 😂

My brother and SIL flew SQ cargo from MEL to LHR in the early 000s. They had 50 greyhounds in specially built cages and travelled with them. They would go to feed and water them on the way. Said SQ were very good - as soon as they stopped in SIN, the airconditioning piping was straight in so the dogs wouldn't overheat.
