Sometimes things can happen so quickly.

A few nights ago was walking near 9:00pm to go and get haircut when just before haircut salon saw motorcycle taxi in middle of the road but perpendicular waiting to park next to other motorcycle taxis a few metres away.

Didn't walk more than 10 metres when I hears a noise and screaming. Turned around to this scene.20231127_144225.jpg

No one hurt and cleared away quickly. After I finished quick haircut saw the 4 wheel drive parked near by and the man inspecting damage to bumper bar looking sad.

Note traffic moving slowly but you always need to be alert as these are narrow roads and motorcycles everywhere passing and cutting in.

Good flight & Crew. Left blocks about 60 mins late due to tech issue, landed 5 mins late SYD so made good time. View attachment 362119View attachment 362120View attachment 362121View attachment 362122And now to the sleep office🥱😴Novotel Wooli Creek. View attachment 362123
I checked out of Wolli Ck this morning. Daughter arrived on QF12 so just waited until she & SIL cleared customs and swung around to the 15 minute pickup area, then drove us all back home. (Hunter)

@Larko1 @Bindibuys , is Novotel Wooli Creek the go to airport hotel?
For International pickups - yes.
So close to airport without the Rydges expense. I have also used CKS which is directly behind Novotel.
Easy walk to Wolli Creek train station if you want to go into the city. (no airport extra in train fare) Woolworths, lots of restaurants to choose.
I find I simply go down the day before, park at hotel, train into city for some shopping, eat at a restaurant at Wolli Creek, and easy sleep and pick up of family early next morning.
(note I have a 2 hour drive from home to airport/city)

Do you train it to/ from Novotel to terminal when arriving/departing from o/s?

After exceptional service in J on QF101 on Xmas day, plus-one and I made our way from Nadi to Nukubati Island off the NW coast of Vanua Levu. It turns out we’re the only guests in this stunning eco resort for the whole week we’re here. I’m possibly not ever going back to my actual dull, grey office.

Spent time in Savusavu and Wainunu in 2004. Had a ball. Barely any tourists then. Got half way to making a move.

Today's office view is of iceberg A23a, the world's largest, at 400m thick ( so about 75 m out of the water), 4,000 sq km and about 1 trillion tonnes.

It calved 40 years ago and was long stuck on the sea floor but is now in the move.

The Captain again deviated course to get us a close look at it. But it's like trying to get the Grand Canyon in one pic
