Bangkok walking office. A new mall on Sukhumvit with an attached IKEA. But also still a Christmas market.

I was there last week, it was amazing.

Agree 100% on vessel choice. Saw this yacht in Feb - we like sailing boats a lot but this time… No Way!!!

But I stopped here. one of the few with a little english in their pictures.




And lunch one of my favourite northern Thai dishes. Khao Soi.


And it tasted really nice. This was a small bowl for 70 Baht ~$3.

We saw World Voyager a couple of times in passing. Wow! That dreadful weather pattern is why our captain stayed in a channel for an extra afternoon. Thank goodness!

Edit: I see that incident happened on December 2nd. Still not a good thing to happen, though.

(As a side note, I hate when ships are referred to as an “ocean liner”. There is only one ocean liner around these days, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2. Otherwise there are cruise ships, expedition ships, etc.)

I heard about that at the time. But it also re-assures me that these ships will hold up to a lot.

Dear Dr, It must be very discouraging to be so skint that you need to trawl for the cheapest street food.
I am sure we can hand around the hat and collect enough for at least one square meal a day.

So today I wasn’t walking any where specifically just meandering but I was upset with what some people have to put up with as their home office.


No running water in their homes so have to fill bottles at neighbourhood dispensers.




And washing machines on the road every few buildings.


And 100 metres away luxury units with fountains.
Sorry to be serious.

Ahhh tgh, I am in the hotel resting up as I have a cold atm ! So he is out and about on his own, buying crazy stuff to eat, at least he is not buying a jacket for SS at the markets !!
