The view from my "office"

My office on Monday morning after takeoff from Brisbane:

Loved to see the ships waiting their cargo:

Melbourne skyline as we approached Tullamarine:

Sadly, there wasn’t the opportunity for many photos on my return on Tuesday nigh, just this one whilst we waiting our turn to use the active runway:

I just love European white asparagus in a nice white sauce. The French and Spanish do it very well!
I had some, lovingly prepared too, and it was very nice. However next day I was crook and slept for following 2 days. Weeks later when I boarded the plane to come home, SQ served this up as a specialty as the plane was leaving Schiphol. With the smell wafting through the cabin I almost threw up. Can't stand the smell of it now. This was at the same time of all the deaths in Germany from eating contaminated vegetables. I've always wondered.

Coincidence is co incidentally convincing.

IMG_7555.jpegIMG_7554.jpegIMG_7552.jpegView of my room in Hungary, Székesfehérvár Mecure, guess I got an upgrade, I’ll get lost going to the loo.

However, tragically at the rally today, a car left the road killing 4 and injuring another 7.

I had been near that spot looking for good angles, but moved down the road to a 90 right corner.

There was a chicane made of big hay bales to slow the cars down, you could hear the cars coming, there was noise then a bang, at first I thought the car had hit one of the bales, sadly not, it went off before the chicane.

A lot of people ran up the hill to see what had happened, as I couldn’t understand what was being said, I stayed put, and was told that officials were yelling out for any doctors or first aid people.

So sad for everyone involved, it will be interesting to see if they were in an officially marked spectator spot.
