The Nut's departed Chiang Mai this morning for Singers. Chiang Mai International's a decent dual purpose airport that's serviced by a variety of domestic and international airlines such as JeJuair, Eaststar Jet and HKexpress. For today's flight we were on Scoot.
Check-in and customs was pretty efficient but we were early, erring on the side of caution. Airside had mostly gift shops, a massage joint and a couple of cafes. Can get a beer from most shops for less than 100 baht. No bars, just grab a can and sit in the departure lounge
.
Departure lounge. Carry-on checked and approved. Qantas, DeathStar Virgin?
Boarding Scoot flight TR677 (A321N all economy) with HKexpress passing by for takeoff.
...and we're off!
Booked the exit row and pre-ordered a meal for the three hour flight to SIN and well worth it. Great service, meal was fine, very efficient and friendly. If your meal isn't served within 20 minutes, you get a refund! Qantas, DeathStar, Virgin - could you do at least one of those things?
..and before you know it we've landed in SIN. Cleared customs and got to the hotel within the hour...
..and dinner at Clarke Quay. Off exploring tomorrow!!
