The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

So, we copped some of that rain action that SA have had.

This doesn't flow 360 days out of the year:

Looks like the water supply will be OK.

Thanks, but not really :). The drought on the east coast of Tas broke in January when we had 8" in 36 hours  ; then in June & July it was another really wet 2 months (winter - as it should be), then we had another burst in mid August. The Hydro dams filled to spilling pretty quick (except for the 2 mega impoundments - long way to go there).

So it can stop now.

Please.

Top graph is one impoundment in the west since Sept 1. Bottom one is past 12 months.

So the mad rush to go out and buy filthy diesel generators has been placed on the backburner? Great news if yes!

No, they did that. 1/3 of the state was running on hired diesel gensets for about a month. Then it rained in January and hasn't stopped since!

Hopefully they have sent the diesels back from whence they came!

Obviously the sandgropers need to extend O'Connor's pipeline a bit, then we'll sell you our excess.

That doesn't look much like Mt Donna Buang? Exactly how far out of town did you go? ;)
You clearly have not travelled by car with the Ette - she possess an uncanny ability to go cover vast distances in a very short space of time!
