Today is gorgeous. But that bloody car race....and we will never get the true paid-for attendance numbers. Stands have been deserted. I'm hoping to grab a photo of the hornet display as they come right overhead.

Beautiful! From the city where I lived for 14 years and the hotel I first stayed for 4 weeks in 1985. It was still a Sheraton then!

If that's the "early morning view", expect it to be about the same as the "early afternoon view" at this time of year!

The building on the little "island" in the centre of the photo used to be a nightclub! It was fantastic!

Fair go, we only arrived that afternoon! Before dawn now as I use a bit of the very thin internet available here, will be going out on a sunrise tour soon, so moai later.
