It's actally a lot better than I had imagined. My biggest issue is sunburn from snorkelling the day before! We've decided to catch a PMV to Dalum today, to give the sunburn a break and there are apparantly beautiful swimming holes and waterfalls there as well (which I'm picturing myself wallowing in right now)!

The Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin.

I played this course back in 2012 and it was nice but didn't rate it highly. Played it again in August and have to say it is one of the best golf courses I have played. It probably helps that I had 14 pars from the white tees and missed a couple of short putts and number of makeable birdie putts. I played with a Danish couple with both playing off 6 handicap which lifted my game.

On Tuesday we had a 10 hr layover in DOH on the way from MEL to ARN. To break the wait we took the Doha city tour. It used to free, but now costs about $15 pp.

Leaving DOH was not a pleasant experience. We were taken by bus to a far corner of the airport where we had to wait till refueling was complete. The aircon in the bus could not really cope with the 41 degree heat, but it was even worse on board the B787. The aircon did not work and the external unit did not seem to provide much relief. Only on take-off did the temperature start to return to normal.
